My Approach
At the core of my therapeutic approach is Interpersonal Relational Psychology, which recognizes that our relationships with others significantly influence our well-being and emotional growth. I believe that the therapeutic relationship between us is central to your progress. Together, we'll explore how your past and current relationships shape your beliefs, emotions, and behaviors. Through this exploration, we can untangle patterns that may be hindering your personal growth and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
My personhood is intrinsically woven into my work as a counselor. Working from a social justice lens is integral to my practice. As a queer therapist, I enjoy working with other LQBTQI+ individuals around their identity and queerness.
I have extensive training and work experience in working with survivors of interpersonal partner violence, sexual assault, and narcissistic abuse. Much of my work has been with those who have experienced a variety of complex trauma. I am trained in Brain Spotting, Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), attachment based therapy, and other various trauma informed practices.
Therapy is a unique process and we will work collaboratively to find an approach that considers your individual needs. I welcome your curiosity and will seek your consent throughout the process.
